Donnelly is a small rural town in Valley County Idaho, with a population of roughly 150 people. Located on the northeast shore of Lake Cascade at an elevation of approximately 4800 feet above sea level, Donnelly is encompassed by mountains, lakes, meadows, streams, and hot springs. The town is 12 miles north of the recreational city of McCall and 89 miles north of Boise.
Residents of Donnelly enjoy the rural setting and country living with hiking, fishing, and biking, skiing, horse riding, and snowmobiling—an almost-endless list of outdoor recreational activities.
The historic Finn community of Roseberry is just a few miles east of Donnelly. There you’ll find the Roseberry/Valley County Museum and the ghost town that was left when the residents moved to Donnelly in 1914
